Deborah Beck is the Executive Director of the Nurses Organization of Veterans Affairs (NOVA), a professional society representing the over 36,000 nurses employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA). She is also Executive Director of the NOVA Foundation, whose mission is to improve the quality of care to our nation's veterans by providing continuing education scholarships and research grants to DVA registered nurses.
William S. Bergman Associates (WSBA) serves as the management company for NOVA and the NOVA Foundation. Deborah Beck is active in the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), the Greater Washington Society of Association Executives (GWSAE), and the International Association of Association Management Companies (IAAMC). She served as Vice Chairman of IAAMC's Marketing/Public Relations Committee where she is responsible for increasing the association community's awareness of association management companies as a viable alternative to stand alone association operations. She is currently a member of GWSAE's Government Relations and Public Affairs Advisory Council and the U.S. Chamber's Breakfast Bunch.
Prior to joining NOVA, Deborah Beck held a number of positions with the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee. She was responsible for setting up the Washington, DC government relations office and served as the Director of Operations of the Boston soccer venue, where she organized and oversaw the management of seventeen departments and nearly one thousand employees and volunteers for this Olympic event.
Deborah Beck is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Trinity College in Washington, DC.
