The Courses at Andrews
Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland

November 10, 2011
On behalf of the NOVA Foundation Board of Directors, I invite you to join us at the 1st Annual NOVA Foundation Golf Tournament to be held at Andrews Air Force Base on November 10th, 2011. As a Vietnam Era Veteran, VA nurse, and Chairperson of this event, I would like to share with you how important your contribution is to our mission of caring for America's heroes.
Mary Seaman, MS, RN, NEA-BC
Our nurses are on the front lines in our hospitals and clinics, greeting our returning war heroes and caring for their wounds both physical and emotional. VA nurses provide the type of "specialized care" that meets the needs of all who have served our country dating back to the Civil War and President Lincoln's promise to "care for those whom have borne the battle". We know first hand the struggles and challenges our patients face every day and it's the nurses who wipe away the tears, dress the wounds, and provide the cutting edge technology and expertise from battlefield to home. VA nurses support our troops every day, and in every VA hospital throughout the country.

This year's event promises to be an exciting endeavor. Not only will we be assisting in the rehabilitation of veterans but we hope to establish a viable endowment that supports the education, research and scholarly endeavors of nurses who will continue to provide the "best care" anywhere to our most precious asset, our veterans. Please join me on Thursday, November 10th for this exciting tournament and at the same time help us in this worthwhile endeavor for both veterans and nurses.
