Help the NOVA Foundation Raise Money to Benefit VA Nurses and America's Veterans!

Are you interested in running in the 34th Annual Marine Corps Marathon and want to help VA nurses and America's veterans? Join the NOVA Foundation Team and help make history!

Every year nearly 40,000 VA nurses care for over 5 million of our nation's veterans. The NOVA (Nurses Organization of Veterans Affairs) Foundation helps ensure these heroes receive the best care possible by providing nursing scholarships, research grants and educational programs to VA nurses across the nation. Again this year, the NOVA Foundation is honored to be the first and only professional nursing organization ever chosen to participate in the Marine Corps Marathon Charity Partnership Program. With over 30,000 runners, the Marine Corps Marathon is the 4th largest U.S. marathon, and the 8th largest in the world.

The NOVA Foundation is recruiting runners to join our Team for the Marine Corps Marathon and 10K Race. We will provide support, fundraising and training tips and a website forum for runners and volunteers to share experiences, information and motivation. We invite all to join us - nurses, veterans, family, friends and those who just love to run and would like to support the NOVA Foundation. Veterans with disabilities who want to participate in the wheelchair and hand cycle category for the Marathon are also welcome.

Remember, you don't have to be an athlete to participate, and virtually anyone can participate in the 10K by walking, if they like!

Registration with the NOVA Foundation for the 2009 Marine Corps Marathon and 10K is now open!

Although there is no minimum fundraising requirement to participate in the Marathon or 10K, we do ask that each of our participants set a personal goal to raise at least $500. Proceeds will go towards providing scholarships and research grants to these dedicated professionals.
