Mary Seaman, RN, MSN has been a very active NOVA member, serving as Chair of the NOVA Tampa Chapter, as well as a Board Member of the NOVA Foundation, and she chaired the NOVA Foundation's 25th Silver Anniversary Gala. She is also a member of the Florida Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau.
Ms. Seaman came to the James A. Haley VA Hospital in 1999, serving as Patient Health Educator, Ambulatory Care; then worked as a Clinical Nurse Educator at VA Northern California Health Care System before returning to James A. Haley VA Hospital where her current position is Director of Staff Relations/Nursing. Mary served as Magnet Marketing Coordinator, achieving redesignation in 2004; and currently has the responsibility of Coordination of the National Polytrauma advertising campaign.
She states that her goals for NOVA would be "to promote professional nursing, improve our image and educate others (both within and outside VA circles) about our organization, its mission, and the outstanding care and service we provide our veterans as professional nurses active in our professional organization".
