Dear NOVA Member,
As we begin to get back to in person meetings and look to the start of a new Congress in January, we have exciting news to share with all of you. NOVA will be hosting a Member on the Hill Day on Thursday, March 9, 2023!
What does this mean? We will come together to advocate for critical VA issues like staffing, pay, HR and more. You will get the chance to talk with Members of the 118th Congress and their staff about how these issues affect you and the
care you provide Veterans. Now is the time to register and help us advocate for all VA nurses and the issues facing health care within VA.
We will provide mentorship, tools of the trade and a chance for you to partner with those from your respective states when visiting your Members of Congress and staff. I want to express the importance of having a voice on Capitol Hill and what
it means for VA Nurses to communicate your passion about the care you provide Veterans every day. You do not have to be an expert on Congress or know how legislation works. You just have to bring your stories about the care you provide.
If you are interested in registering to attend, please use the link below – we will be providing more information as we get closer to the event – beginning with an upcoming Webinar, hosted by our NOVA Advocacy & Government Relations Director,
Teresa Morris and Education Chairman, Nancy Claflin, on Tuesday, January 24th at 2pm ET.
It is more important than ever to share your voice and what you need to take care of Veterans. Join us as we advocate for VA Nurses in Washington in 2023! 7:30 am - 9 am ET Breakfast Kick-Off at Hotel 9:30 am - 5 pm ET Hill Visits 6:00 pm ET Debrief in Hotel Lobby 7:00 pm ET Optional Group Dinner
