NOVA 2025 CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS!
Call for Abstracts, Awards and Annual Conference Scholarships
Submissions are now closed for the 2025 NOVA Annual Conference. Notifications will be sent the first week of August.
Call for Abstracts Join NOVA nurses for an excellent opportunity to present your practice, research, innovations and projects at the 2025 Annual Conference. In this shared experience, you will have the opportunity to learn of the new nursing care practices presented by your colleagues. Abstract Submission Guidelines The requirements for your poster presentation are as follows: Each poster will have a display area of four (4) feet high by four (4) feet wide to display your materials. You may display your information in figures, tables, text, photographs, etc. Please prepare all illustrations neatly and legibly beforehand, in a size sufficient to read at a distance of three (3) feet. A series of typewritten sheets attached to the poster board is not acceptable. Poster set up will take place on Tuesday, October 21 beginning at 3:30 PM. Authors will be responsible for dismantling their posters at the end of the day on Thursday. Any poster left on poster boards will be discarded. NOVA assumes no responsibility for posters left on poster boards following the closing of the exhibit hall on Thursday, October 23. Throughout the meeting, it is crucial that poster tubes are NOT left in the Poster Hall. Tubes left on the floor or leaning on poster boards cause safety hazards for all attendees. Poster tubes left on the floor of the poster hall WILL be removed. It is important for you to be present at your poster during the Poster Session times to answer questions and discuss issues on your research with meeting attendees. Poster Presentation Schedule: Tuesday, October 21 - 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM - Poster Set Up Tuesday, October 21 - 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Wednesday, October 22 - 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM - 3:30 PM Thursday, October 23 - 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM and 3:00 PM - 3:30 PM You are expected to be at your poster during these designated times. Call for NOVA Awards NOVA awards and honors individuals and/or groups who have made significant contributions to the Nurses Organization of Veterans Affairs, the nursing profession, the health care of Veterans, or in service to our country.
Call for Annual Conference Scholarship NOVA’s 2025 Annual Conference Scholarship Program promotes the advancement of nursing practice and education by providing scholarships to qualified nurses employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs. This opportunity will allow NOVA nurses to attend NOVA’s Annual Conference to receive high quality continuing education. Scholarships will be provided for conference registration cost only.
