Washington D.C., November 13, 2025, late last night the House passed the Senate’s continuing resolution (CR) which funds the government through January 30, ending the government shutdown. The bill provides full-year (FY26) appropriations for the Department of Veterans Affairs/Military Construction, Department of Agriculture, FDA, and the Legislative branch. It also restores key programs such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and provides back pay to federal employees. Many Federal employees are expected to be back at work today. NOVA encourages Congress to work together to fully fund all agencies to prevent another shutdown in January. Employees of the VA, veterans, and military personnel should be able to focus on serving our country without financial concerns for themselves or their families, and they deserve our continued support.
