NOVA Nurses Heading to DC to Advocate for VA Healthcare
Washington D.C., March 1, 2023 – NOVA members from across the country are heading to Washington, D.C. on March 9 to advocate for VA healthcare. Rallying together in support of VA healthcare, nurses - who are often the first person a Veteran sees - will be discussing key issues to include staffing, recruitment & retention and what is needed to strengthen VA healthcare with their Members of Congress. Focusing on NOVA’s 2023 Legislative Priority Goals, NOVA will address clinical shortages, HR vacancies and on-boarding delays, and reviewing salaries so that VA can remain competitive with the private sector to continue to provide the highest level of care for Veterans.
