Washington D.C., March 13, 2023 – Last week, NOVA members from around the country united in support of VA healthcare and those who take care of Veterans. Meeting with Members of the 118 th Congress and staff, they urged all to support VA’s workforce by ensuring proper funding is given so the Department can continue to provide timely access to high quality healthcare. Focusing on NOVA’s 2023 Legislative Priority Goals, NOVA nurses discussed workforce shortages, HR modernization, on-boarding delays, and the need to review salaries so that VA can remain competitive with the private sector and continue to provide the highest level of care for Veterans. NOVA thanks all those who met and listened to our concerns and looks forward to meaningful and effective legislative addressing our priority goals.
